(Although we do our best to bring the best possible items to our customers, we would rather under promise than over promise. This item is new in box/package, and has not been opened, however, there is a chance the packaging may show shelf wear/fading/etc due to being on display in someone's collection, storage and/or being on display at the store within customer reach. New in box means the package has not been opened. It does not mean it is in mint condition. "New" Skylanders are notorious for having the blister pack lose it's hold for one reason or another and separate from the cardboard backer and/or be touched up with glue, and this is always a possibility with the ones we sell. As a result, the packaging is as is. It's also a possibility that someone at some point set a new in box skylander on a portal, meaning new in box does not mean it's never been "used." We realize this all makes it a bit strange when selling them as "new," because the skylander technically is, but we would rather state worse case scenario and aim to deliver best case.
